We are excited to begin a new chapter at HHS next Fall. We are starting a Bring Your Own Device (BYOD) initiative. 9th Graders will be expected to have a device, but all students in grades 10-12 are encouraged to participate, as well.
Our year is just around the corner. We’ve created a web page with all the information you will need. Please use this link for all things BYOD. Information will be frequently updated.
We will be adding a Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ) as we get them, as well as other helpful links.
There are two Chromebooks we’re recommending right now. Those links are on the site, but feel free to go elsewhere if you wish.If you have questions, by all means, send those questions to Ms. Buckentin, Technology Integrationist, ISD423. [email protected]
Again, if you are a 9th Grader looking for information on renting a BYOD device, you must qualify financially using the same criteria as free/reduced lunch process. For 2015-16, this cannot happen until the new form is released on August 1. There will be a $30 insurance fee / year for these devices. If interested in that, please contact Central Office at 234-2860 to get this year’s form after August 1.

As a Literacy Tutor, you’ll use strategies that help students believe in themselves and succeed. Positions available include: Kindergarten Focus and Elementary (K-3) Literacy Tutors. Full-time tutors typically serve most of their hours during the regular school day.
In addition to extensive training, tutors will receive on-site support from specially trained school mentors. Tutors come from many backgrounds and include recent high school and college grads, career changers, stay-at-home parents, and retirees. Tutors may earn a living allowance, educational award, federal student loan forbearance, and other benefits, and have the chance to make a real difference in the life of a child.
The ISD 423 Board of Education will conduct a regular board meeting on Monday, March 2, 2015 beginning at 5:30 pm in the Council Chambers at Hutchinson City Center.
On this page, you will find all of the links you’ll need as an HHS student in 2016-2017!

West Elementary is proud to introduce “Ask Me” stickers as part of our positive behavioral support system. Students caught making good choices have the opportunity to be awarded an “Ask Me” sticker. This helps facilitate conversation between their peers, school staff, and home about the great things happening at school. If your child comes home with a sticker, be sure to ask them about the positive choices they made at school.
