Our 2nd -9th grade students take a diagnostic assessment in the fall and spring of each year called the STAR test. The STAR test are state-aligned computerized adaptive tests that accurately reflect the instructional level of each student and measure growth over time.

The STAR reading test produces a specific Lexile level for each student. This Lexile number is used to find appropriate independent and instructional reading levels for each student. The following website can help you choose a book for independent reading or for reading together.
