I am thrilled to begin my first year as the Hutchinson Middle School Principal in a district with dedicated and highly skilled staff. I am happy to be back in the district and I am ready to begin what promises to be a year full of amazing opportunities. I have been dedicated to the field of education for more than 31 years working with students from Preschool through age 21. My door will be open and I value your feedback. At the Middle School, we believe in educating the whole child. This includes academics, fine arts, social, and emotional learning, as well as physical and mental health. Learning is a social process. Together, we will build relationships, provide support, and motivate students to engage in their learning. The Middle School promotes T.I.G.E.R.S values and expectations.Teamwork, Integrity, Grit, Effort, Respect, and Safety. These key traits create a solid foundation for students to become self-directed learners, collaborative teammates, critical thinkers, and responsible citizens.
Family involvement and active participation is essential for student success. Ask questions of your child and school staff, set goals, and celebrate accomplishments. I encourage you to visit the Middle School website and become familiar with the Student Handbook, school expectations, and important dates. We are excited to be your partner and work alongside you to ensure your child receives high-quality educational experiences. Collectively we can provide a safe environment and meaningful learning opportunities for all students to achieve excellence in academics, activities, character, and being high school, college, and career-ready. All things are possible because anything can be learned.
