With a vote of 5-0, the Hutchinson School Board voted to place a question on the November 3, 2026 ballot, asking for an additional $412 per pupil. With a projected $2.3 million dollar or more shortfall for 2027-2028, this operating referendum will help preserve important programs for students. If the question passes with the voters, the school district will receive an incremental $1.1 million in revenue for the 2027-2028 school year.
