Hutchinson Public Schools has approximately 61 acres of farmland for rent.
There is a total of 73 acres of farmland in this plot, but approximately twelve (12) acres will be used by the Hutchinson High School for educational purposes.
Proposals must be submitted on the District form and will be accepted until 12:00 pm (Noon) on Wednesday, November 6, 2024 at the address below.

- The District will evaluate all proposals based on a predetermined 100 point scale. The successful renter will be notified as soon as the selection process is completed.
- There will be a written contract.
- The length of the agreement will be for a period of three (3) years, beginning January 1, 2025.
- The renter will be responsible for “plow back” each fall.
- Rent will be made in two equal payments due on April 1 and November 1.
- The renter will be required to maintain weed control and soil management.
- If the District believes that the land is not being properly maintained, it will have the right to void the contract and solicit a different party to rent the property.
- The District reserves the right to give a 90 day cancellation notice during the term of the lease if construction were to commence on the property.
- The District has granted a “permit” to the Crow River Sno Pro’s for a snowmobile route across this property.
