Congratulations to Ben and Grace, the TIGERs of the Week for October 16 – 20.
Ben Riewer – Boys Soccer
Ben has continued to improve every single practice and game this season to the point that he was invaluable to have on the field. He also stepped up to become the JV goalie when no one else really wanted the job. With 10 seniors graduating from the soccer team this season, Ben’s future with the program looks very bright!
Grace Penke – Girls Soccer
As a captain of the Girls Soccer Team, Grace’s leadership is proven everyday in organizing team activities, and is demonstrated in practice and game play. Grace understands her position well in both attack, and transition to defense. She leads by example and encourages teammates to do their best. She offers suggestions where improvements can be made, and asks questions when needed. In our conference game with rival GSL, Grace scored two goals and assisted on a third to secure the win. Her effort to produce a winning attitude is recognized by her teammates as well as her respect for coaches and officials.
