Congratulations to Jack and Makayla, the TIGERs of the Week for October 9 – 13
Jack Jaeger – Boys Cross Country
Jack finished 2nd out of 53 varsity runners at the Fr. Otto Weber Invitational at St. John’s University. He led the Tigers to a first place finish out of 15 teams. He was the number one runner for the boys for the second time this season. His 5,000 meter time of 17:41 was a season best for him. Jack has shown great improvement this year through his hard work and determination. He has been a great teammate leading by example and pushing others to do their best in races.
Makayla Maher – Girls Cross Country
Makayla finished 3rd out of 58 varsity runners at the Fr. Otto Weber Invitational at St. John’s University. She led the Tigers to a third place finish out of 15 teams. She was the number one runner for the girls and has been all this season. Her 5,000 meter time of 21:14 was one of her season’s best times. Makayla is a great leader on the team, bringing all teammates together. She is a hard worker, motivated, and sets a good example for the rest of the team.
