Congratulations to Abi, Tate, and Tucker, our TIGERs of the Week for March 6 – 10.
Abi Reiter – Speech
Abi is brand new on the speech team, but already has made an impact. Through her hard work and tenacity, she has continued to revise the product she brings to tournaments and judges are responding. Even more than that, when she had a few rough meets at the beginning of the year, she continued to work and that is paying off now. She also has shown a great deal of initiative and has worked hard outside of just practicing with a coach.
Tate Card and Tucker Gifferson – Wrestling
Tate and Tucker qualified for the MSHSL individual state tournament by placing in the top two in Section 2AA. Many believe this to be one of the deepest and toughest wrestling sections in the state. Their relentless effort, work, and mental toughness helped them through one of the toughest section tournaments in the state for class AA. Their willingness to manage their weight and do what was best for the team all season was one of many keys to our successful regular season. Tate and Tucker represent the student athletes that we want at HHS by exemplifying what it takes to be successful in the classroom and on the mat as well. They are humble, kind, and excellent teammates. Tate and Tucker are very thankful for the opportunity they have to represent our wrestling program down at the state wrestling tournament.
