Congratulations to Landon and Dan, our TIGERs of the Week.
Landon Butler – Speech
Landon became the first Tiger Speech Student to make the state tournament in over a decade. He is a testament to how hard work and a constant willingness to want and use constructive criticism can result in tremendous learning. Through it all, he has been the consummate leader and he finishes the season, not only making the state tournament, but placing 12 times at invitational tournaments during the season.
Dan Van de Steeg – Baseball
Dan went 3/4 with 2 RBIs and a stolen base in Hutchinson’s opener vs G-SL in helping the Tigers to a come from behind 6-5 win. Dan is the epitome of being a Tiger – he is an incredible competitor on the field of play but does it the right way. On top of competing on the playing surface, he has been tremendous in his work ethic in the off-season, helping prepare himself and his teammates for the upcoming season. The high level of respect that he gives his teammates and coaches, as well as opponents and officials is truly the blueprint that everyone in Hutchinson can look to in striving to truly be “a Tiger”.
