Tigers of the Week: Steele Kim and Lyndsey Grand

Congratulations to Steele and Lyndsey, this week’s TIGERs of the Week:

Steele Kim – Football

Steele has been the most consistent offensive lineman all year. He is a leader and one of the hardest workers we have on the tiger football team.

Steele is a great leader, he helps the younger athletes get better. He is respectful. Steele never misses practice and shows great effort during the entire week of practice as well as games.

Lyndsey Grand – Swim and Dive

Lyndsey has been an outstanding contributor to the team the entire season. She has been asked to swim many different events and has performed amazing every time. Lyndsey is one of the team’s top sprinters, but has swam the distance events, as well as sprinted when needed.

Throughout the season Lyndsey has been asked to swim in a variety events and has understood this was needed to put together the best lineup that night. Lyndsey has accepted this role without complaint and dedicated herself to making the team as good as it could be.

Tigers of the Week: Grace Johnson and Mitchell Grand

Congratulations to Grace Johnson and Mitchell Grand, the TIGERs of the Week for October 17-21

Grace Johnson – Girls Tennis

Grace had two wins in our Section Team Tennis tournament. She defeated a Mankato West opponent that had beaten her just a week earlier in a regular season match.

Grace is a hard working player both on and off the court. She is respectful and grateful for the abilities that she has been given. Grace always shows great effort and tenacity by hustling and competing for every point in a match.

Mitchell Grand – Boys Cross Country

A third place finish at the 20-team Litchfield Invitational followed by a second place finish at the Jordan Invitational the following week.

Mitchell exemplifies what it means to be a hard-working, dedicated athlete. He has always strived to do his best, fought against many difficulties and races with determination.

Tigers of the Week: Travis Trettin and Kira Fennell

Congratulations to Travis and Kira, the TIGERs of the Week for October 10 – 15

Travis Trettin – Football

Travis is the second leading rusher on the football team and also serves as the team’s kicker. Travis is one of the hardest working and toughest players for the football team.  He also shows great compassion for his team. Travis is a fine teacher to the younger players and leads everyone by setting a great example.

Kira Fennell – Girls Soccer

As a centerback defender in soccer, Kira is consistently shutting down the attack of our opponents. In the game vs Watertown/Mayer, she scored on a shot from about 20 yards out. Few defenders have the skill needed to accomplish this feat. This propelled the girls soccer team to rally and defeat a conference rival.

Kira’s strength in the centerback defensive position is well recognized by other teams in the conference. She never gives up. She is always respectful of other teams’ abilities, and never dismisses anyone as an unworthy opponent. Her pure effort and dedication to the team is the example of what a Tiger Athlete should be.

Fruit!

The Hutchinson School Nutrition program offers fresh fruit to satisfy anyone’s appetite.

Tigers of the Week: Abi Reiter and Makayla Maher

Congratulations to Abi Reiter and Makayla Maher, Girls Cross Country, on being named the TIGERs of the Week for October 3 – 8

Abi Reiter and Makayla Maher – Girls Cross Country

Makayla and Abi have been the top two performers for the girls cross country team all year. They are always tenacious in their effort to be the best runners that they can be. Their effort and respect are always on display, whether it’s at practice or in a meet.
